Firm Administrator/Director of Finance (Law Firm)
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Firm Administrator to oversee the accounting, human resources, technology, and operational functions of our law firm client. This is a highly visible position reporting directly to leadership and offers the opportunity to play a key role in the firm's continued growth and success.

Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and general ledger activity
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
- Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting procedures
- Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Support employee relations, performance management, and HR initiatives
- Serve as primary liaison with benefit providers and HR vendors
- Manage day-to-day office operations and vendor relationships
- Oversee office facilities, equipment, and administrative processes
- Support organizational planning, process improvements, and special projects
- Develop and implement operational best practices to improve efficiency
- Serve as the primary liaison to outsourced IT providers and technology vendors
- Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, and user support
- Assist with cybersecurity, technology planning, and business continuity efforts
- Help evaluate and improve business systems and reporting capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations, business administration, or firm management
- Experience working within a law firm, CPA firm, consulting firm, architecture/engineering firm, or other professional services environment preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll processes
- Experience supporting HR, employee benefits, and office operations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based business systems
- Experience with QuickBooks, payroll platforms, HRIS systems, or similar business applications preferred
