Pay Rate $60-70/hour
Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and manage a small team in a Costpoint‑driven GovCon environment. This individual will play a key role in leading the close, strengthening internal controls, and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and project accounting
- Review and manage month‑end close and financial reporting
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and GovCon requirements (FAR, DCAA)
- Serve as primary contact for audits and external requests
- Lead process improvements and Costpoint best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6–10 years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong Deltek Costpoint experience required
- Prior government contracting experience required
- CPA preferred; strong communication and leadership skills required
