Senior Accountant

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s external financial and internal management reports. Responsible for technical accounting research for new accounting guidance and complex accounting issues. Accurate and timely accounting of all activity related to debt, equity, and other duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the preparation and review of all financial filings
  • Provide assistance to operational management in the analysis and understanding of all financial information as required
  • Research, analyze, and document technical accounting and disclosure items
  • Ensure the timely and accurate journalization of all assigned accounts and transactions to the general ledger
  • Maintain and update the accounting policies of the Company for new accounting pronouncements and new business endeavors
  • Reconcile/review designated general ledger accounts to the summary trial balance on a monthly basis and provide periodic reporting of accounts
  • Ensure all inter-company accounts for assigned entities are balanced on a periodic basis
  • Prepare all assigned audit request schedules, for review by manager, for the quarterly and year end external audits on a timely basis
  • Assist in preparation of financial reporting package on a timely basis
  • Participate in all SOX compliance activities – including, but not limited to, documentation, testing, and reporting
  • Provide analysis projects for management on various hot topics
  • Provide technical training to senior and staff accountants
  • Provide support to senior and staff accountants
  • Additional duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years Public Accounting experience preferred
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary 80-90k
