We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of commercial stair systems, railings, structural steel, and architectural metal projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
Monitor submittals, engineering deliverables, fabrication timelines, and installation progress
Support budget management, purchase orders, and cost tracking
Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, labor resources, and subcontractors
Help maintain project documentation, reports, and daily status updates
Assist with OSHA-compliant safety initiatives and documentation
Participate in quality control inspections and corrective action tracking
Support client communications, progress meetings, and project updates
Track contract requirements and assist with change order management
Compile project reports, photos, and field documentation
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
1–3 years of construction, project coordination, or related experience
Experience in commercial construction or miscellaneous metals is a plus
Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management software (Procore experience preferred)
Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building practices
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
