Senior Accounting & Finance Advisory Consultant
(Hybrid in Boston area)
Pay Range: $90–$125/hour, depending on background

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting and Finance Advisory Consultant with strong technical accounting experience to support a client engagement for a company planning their IPO. 


This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a blend of public accounting and industry experience who enjoys hands‑on, high‑impact project work.

Engagement Includes

  • Technical accounting and policy implementation work
  • Supporting IPO related activities
  • Analyzing business combination, debt and equity transaction revenue recognition, and lease accounting standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation for IPO activities
  • Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP guidance; prepare technical accounting memos and documentation
  • Support implementation and interpretation of complex accounting areas, that may include utilizing any or all of these standards:
    • Business combinations (ASC 805)
    • Distinguishing liabilities from equity (ASC 480)
    • Stock based compensation (ASC 718)
    • Derivatives and hedging (ASC 815)  
    • Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
    • Lease Accounting (ASC 842)
  • Assist with preparation of footnotes, disclosures, and audit schedules
  • Audit readiness and documentation

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Experience supporting month‑end close, financial reporting, and audits
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • While mostly remote work, must be available to come to the office in the Boston area on an as needed basis

Preferred

  • Mix of public accounting and industry experience
  • CPA (active or inactive) strongly preferred
