Cherry Bekaert Recruiting and Staffing is partnering with a Midwest-based organization that is searching for an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the end‑to‑end implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning system. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the project on behalf of the company, working across cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of communication between executive leadership, finance, IT, manufacturing facilities, and external partners.
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Lead the full lifecycle of the ERP implementation from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues; drive proactive mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, and status updates.
- Stakeholder & Team Management
- Serve as the central liaison between business leaders, functional users, developers, and third-party implementation partners.
- Translate business requirements into actionable project tasks.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment and manage change across impacted teams.
- Drive organizational readiness, including training, communication, and adoption planning.
- Process & Quality Management
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined scope, quality standards, and business objectives.
- Oversee documentation of business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration activities, and cutover execution.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement in both project management and ERP utilization.
- Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Manage relationships with ERP vendors, consultants, and integrators.
- Oversee contract deliverables, service levels, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 4 years leading ERP system implementations.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
NOTE: Some travel may be involved for first 2-3 weeks to meet stakeholders face to face.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, , Agile/Scrum, or other project management certification.
- Hands-on experience with specific ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Workday, Infor).
- Experience in change management, process redesign, or business transformation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work between multiple stakeholders
